Privacy Policy
At iSolve Software Services Limited, your privacy is the foundation of everything we build. iSecure VPN exists to protect you online — and that means being completely transparent about how we handle your personal information.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and what rights you have over it. We've written it in plain language on purpose — because privacy policies shouldn't require a law degree to understand.
By using iSecure VPN or visiting our website at www.isolve-software.com, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
1. Who We Are
iSecure VPN is a product of iSolve Software Services Limited, a company registered in India.
For the purposes of applicable data protection law, iSolve Software Services Limited is the data controller for the personal information we process.
2. The Short Version — Our Core Commitment
Before the detail, here's what matters most:
- We do not log, store, or monitor your VPN activity — ever.
- We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
- We collect only the minimum information needed to run our service.
- You are in control of your data and can request deletion at any time.
The rest of this policy explains exactly how we live up to those commitments.
Permissions We Need
Out of all the features and services that are available on iSecure VPN, a few of them might need your attention because of the information they need before processing your request. It is our responsibility to bring to your attention the data that we will collect for proper functioning of our application.
For smooth processing of all the features on our applications, we need access to permissions as mentioned below:
For iOS
- VPN_CONNECTION — This permission is required to ensure seamless connection to VPN for smooth functionality of the app.
- SEND_NOTIFICATIONS — This permission is required to send notifications about connection established, tips, offers & any new updates on the application.
- TRACKING_USAGE — This permission is required to measure performance and to provide a more relevant experience to the user.
For Android
- INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE / ACCESS_WIFI_STATE / CHANGE_WIFI_STATE — This permission is required to access the internet and to read the current network state so the app can connect, detect network changes and reconnect the tunnel.
- BIND_VPN_SERVICE (VpnService) — This permission is required to create and manage the encrypted VPN tunnel. Android shows a "Connection request" dialog the first time you connect.
- FOREGROUND_SERVICE — This permission is required to keep the VPN tunnel running while the app is in the background, along with the ongoing notification Android requires for it.
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS — This permission is required to send notifications, such as connection status and account or subscription updates.
For Mac
- NEVPNManager / NETunnelProviderManager / packet-tunnel-provider — This permission is required to create and manage the VPN configuration and the encrypted tunnel that carries your traffic.
- OSSystemExtensionManager (network system extension approval) — The direct-download build installs its tunnel as a system extension, so macOS asks you to approve it in System Settings → Privacy & Security and may require an administrator password. Without this the tunnel cannot run.
- SEND_NOTIFICATIONS — This permission is required to send notifications about connection established, tips, offers & any new updates on the application.
3. What Information We Collect
3.1 Information You Give Us
When you create an account or purchase a plan, we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address — this is also how you activate and use iSecure VPN and manage subscription.
- Any messages you send to our support team.
- When making a purchase — Subscription purchases are processed exclusively through the in-app purchase services provided by the platform on which you access the application, such as the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, or our third-party payment gateway, FastSpring. We do not collect, process, store, or have access to your payment card details or other financial information used to complete your purchase. All payment information is collected and processed directly by the respective platform provider in accordance with its own privacy policy and security standards. We receive only limited transaction information, such as the subscription status and transaction identifier, as necessary to manage your subscription and provide the subscribed services.
3.2 Information We Collect Automatically
When you use our website or software, we may automatically collect limited technical data, including:
- Your device type and operating system
- App version and language settings
- General information about crashes or errors (to help us fix bugs)
We do not collect or store any information about your VPN sessions. This means we have no record of which websites you visited, what you downloaded, your originating IP address while connected, or how long you were connected. This is our strict no-logs policy.
3.3 Cookies and Website Tracking
Our website uses cookies — small files stored on your browser — to make the site work properly and to understand how people use it. These include:
- Essential cookies — needed for the site to function (e.g. keeping you logged in)
- Performance cookies — help us understand which pages work well and which don't
- Analytics cookies — we use tools like Google Analytics to see general usage trends (no personal browsing data is stored)
You can turn off non-essential cookies at any time through your browser settings or our cookie preferences tool on the website.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use your information only for the following purposes:
- To create and manage your account
- To activate your iSecure VPN subscription via your email address
- To process your payments and send you receipts
- To provide customer support when you contact us
- To send you important service notifications (e.g. subscription renewals, security alerts)
- To fix bugs and improve the app and website
- To send you occasional product updates or offers — only if you've opted in
We do not use your information for any purpose beyond what is listed above without asking for your consent first.
5. Our No-Logs Policy
This is the most important section if you're using iSecure VPN for privacy.
When you connect to iSecure VPN, we do not collect or store:
- The websites you visit or apps you use
- Your original IP address
- The IP address of the VPN server you connected to
- The times or dates of your VPN sessions
- How long you were connected
- The amount of data you transferred
- Your DNS queries
This policy has been independently verified by BDO AG and is legally binding. Even if we were ever required to hand over data, there would be nothing to hand over.
6. Who We Share Your Information With
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data with trusted third parties only when necessary to run our service:
- Payment processors — to handle your transactions securely (e.g. FastSpring)
- Cloud infrastructure providers — to host our website and account systems
- Analytics providers — to understand general website usage (data is anonymised)
- Customer support tools — to manage support tickets
All third parties we work with are contractually required to handle your data securely and only for the purposes we specify.
We may also disclose your information if required by law — for example, in response to a valid court order. However, because we hold no VPN activity logs, there is no browsing data we could ever be compelled to produce.
7. How Long We Keep Your Data
We keep your data only for as long as we need it:
- Account information — kept for as long as your account is active, and for up to 30 days after you close it
- Payment records — kept for 7 years as required by German tax law
- Support conversations — kept for up to 2 years
- Website analytics — aggregated and anonymised, no personal data retained beyond 26 months
When we no longer need your information, we securely delete or anonymise it.
8. How We Protect Your Data
We take the security of your personal information seriously. Our measures include:
- All data is encrypted in transit using TLS
- Payment data is handled by PCI-DSS compliant providers — we never store your full card details
- Access to personal data within our team is limited to those who need it
- Our systems are regularly reviewed and tested for security vulnerabilities
No system is completely immune to security risks. If we ever become aware of a breach that affects your personal data, we will notify you as required by law.
9. Children's Privacy
iSecure VPN is not intended for children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that a child under 18 has created an account, we will delete their information promptly.
If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@isolve-software.com.
